QR Codes & Safety
Each QinRec shirt has a unique QR code printed on it. When someone scans the code with any smartphone camera — no app required — they are taken to a page displaying your contact information. They can then call or email you immediately to reunite you with your child.
Only your parent or guardian contact information is displayed — your name, primary phone number, secondary phone number (if provided), and email address. No information about your child is ever shown. We designed it this way deliberately to protect children's privacy.
No. Any modern smartphone camera can scan the QR code directly — iPhone, Android, Samsung, all work out of the box. The person scanning simply points their camera at the code and taps the link that appears.
Simply update your contact profile in your account. All your QR codes — on every shirt you've ever ordered — will immediately display your updated information when scanned. You do not need to reprint or replace your shirts.
No. QinRec does not collect, store, or display any information about children. We only store your parent or guardian contact details. This is by design — we believe the safest approach is to connect a finder directly with a parent without exposing any information about the child.
The QR code only displays parent contact information — the same information you might put on a name tag. It contains no child data, no location data, and no payment information. The URL is generated from a cryptographic hash that cannot be guessed or reverse-engineered.
Orders & Shipping
Each shirt is custom printed with your unique QR code. Please allow up to 2 weeks for production and shipping. You will receive an email with tracking information when your order ships.
Yes — orders over $50 qualify for free standard shipping. The free shipping threshold is automatically applied at checkout.
Because each shirt is custom printed with a unique QR code, we cannot accept returns on activated items. However, if your sizing is incorrect, please get in touch — we will work with you to find a solution, including exchanges for a different size where stock allows. Defective or incorrect items may be returned within 30 days of delivery.
Adult shirts are available in XS through 3XL. Children's sizes are available in a range of ages — check the individual product pages for the full size guide.
Account & Profile
Yes. An account is required so we can link your QR code to your contact profile. Registration is free and takes less than a minute.
Each order receives its own unique QR code, so multiple shirts from different orders will have different codes. All codes link to the same parent contact profile, so updating your information once keeps everything current.
Log in to your account, click your name in the top navigation, and select My Profile. Update your details and save. Changes take effect immediately across all your QR codes.
Contact us at via our contact page and we will delete your account and all associated data. Note that deleting your account will deactivate all your QR codes.
